Since launching the Tom Martin and Co ltd. website, we’ve had a couple of customers request we include the feature to allow multiple shopping carts. This page outlines how to setup your shopping carts so it doesn’t conflict with other users.
You must be logged into the website to see the shop however if you’re able to see this page then you’re probably already logged.
If you look up at the top of the page, you should see a black bar in the header of the page, above the Tom Martin and Co ltd. logo that looks similar to the screenshot below.
If you hover over the “Carts” menu item, submenu items should appear underneath it.
At the moment, there is only one basket in the menu list. To create another cart, click on “New Cart”.
After clicking on this button, you will be prompt to name your cart.
For this example, the cart is going to be called “Weekend Shopping”. Type in a name for your shopping cart and click “Ok” when you are finished.
After clicking “Ok”, the page should refresh and it will create the second shopping cart. If you hover back up to “Carts”, you should see the first cart that was there and the new cart you just created. The cart with the trolly indented is the cart you have active. Any products added to the cart will be added to the active cart.
Start shopping as you normally would. You can hover over the “Carts” menu wherever you are in the stop. If you hover over any of the carts, you can see what products have been added to the store.
In the screenshot below, you can see I’ve added 10 Rulers and 12 Fineline Leads to the “Weekend Shopping” cart.
So you’ve added a couple of products to your cart however you aren’t ready to place your order just yet. Before logging out, you’ll need to save your cart. Hover over “Carts” again and click on “Save / Load Carts”. You will be asked to input a case sensitive key phrase.
We recommend using your Account Number and your location. For example, 999999 Dublin . Take note of the key phrase you input as you will need to input it again into the site. A space is considered a character so please don’t forget about that too if you have one in your key phrase!
After inputting a key phrase, hit “Ok”. Your carts will be saved. If you hover over “Carts” now, the “Save / Load Carts” should now say “Cards Saved”.
If you logout of the site or close your browser on the same computer you followed these steps, all of your carts should be there after logging in. However if you login to the site on another computer, you will need to click on “Save / Load Carts” button in the menu and input the key phrase you entered when saving the cart.
You will then be prompt if you want to load the cart associated with this key phrase. Click “Ok” to load your carts.
The page will refresh and all your carts should be visible with all of your items.
